There is “no peace among the nations without peace among the religions and no peace among the religions without dialogue between the religions.”
~ Swiss ecumenical theologian Hans Küng
I cited these words in 2008 in my research paper, “Philanthropic Commonality as a Means to Dialogue between Muslims and Jews.” Out of that thesis, My Brother from Another Mother emerged—first as a blog and now as a nonprofit organization and this website.
Our goal at My Brother from Another Mother is to advance understanding between faith communities in three ways.
- We are a RESOURCE for individuals and organizations wanting to engage in inter/intra faith work.
- We are a LABORATORY for the exploration and creation of new methodologies for advancing inter/intra faith understanding.
- And we are PRACTITIONERS working in the field to build meaningful relationships between people of different backgrounds, faith traditions and experiences.
